Public Beaches Around North Lake Tahoe
At 22 miles long and 12 miles wide it is the largest Alpine lake in North America. The beautiful panoramic mountain views can be experienced from every beach on the 72-mile shoreline! North Lake Tahoe’s Hidden Beach is very popular and located near Incline Village. Even though it might be hard to find, and parking is limited, everyone agrees the effort is worth it! Chimney Beach is a delightful sandy beach that is found six miles south of Incline Village, and it is one of Lake Tahoe’s few dog-friendly beaches. Looking for a large recreation area? Kings Beach Recreation Area is one of the best spots for water sports rentals and is great for families as well as large groups. You will find a playground, volleyball courts, and shaded picnic tables ready for the perfect beach day!
